Get Started with Live Streaming
Navigate to the Creator Dashboard (https://www.youtube.com/dashboard) and hover over "Other features", and click "Live stream now". After clicking "Get Started", it can take up to 24 hours for your account to be ready to start live streaming, so remember to do this at least 24 hours in advance of when you would like to do a live stream.
Protocol: RTMP Streaming
Frame rate: up to 60FPS (frames per second)
Key frame frequency: Recommended 2 seconds, do not exceed 4 seconds.
Bit rate encoding: CBR (constant bit rate)
Audio codec: .aac or .mp3
h.264, 4.1 for up to 1080p 30FPS
h.264, 4.2 for 1080p 60FPS
h.264, 5.0 for 1440p 30FPS
h.264, 5.1 for 1440p 60FPS
h.264, 5.1 for 2160p 30FPS
h.264, 5.2 for 2160p 60FPS
